Day 1 - Austin

Day 2 - Austin

Pick up your vehicle this morning and drive only two hours south west of Austin to Bandera, known as the 'Cowboy Capital of the World'. Spend three nights at the Dixie Dude guest ranch in Bandera where you will go on two horseback rides a day and discover the cowboy life.

Day 6 - San Antonio (54 miles)
This morning journey an hour to San Antonio for a stay in this charming city. Visit The Alamo, a famous landmark in the area (free to enter), and also the River Walk. Here take a walk along the canal area of the city popping into the wonderful and lively Mexican and Spanish style restaurants and bars. In San Antonio, there's also plenty of shopping and art galleries to enjoy.
Day 8 - Houston (197 miles)
From San Antonio, you might wish to journey via Kingsville to visit this historic ranch before arriving in Houston. Houston is the place to visit museums as well as do some serious shopping.
