Traversing past hills, mountains, canyons and fields the American Empress travels through land that hails back to the time of Lewis & Clark, the famous explorers. Back in 1805 they travelled through this region with their Native American guide, Sacajawea. Travel from Portland to Clarkston, 9 day trip, or Clarkston to Portland, stopping off at places such as, Stevenson, from where you can see Mt Hood, Sacajawea State Park and The Dalles area.
On board, enjoy breakfast and lunch in the Romanov Dining Room or River Grille, for a more casual setting, and a 5 course dinner in the Romanov Dining Room. Entertainment in the evenings includes tales told by the riverlorian or Lewis & Clark actor, cabaret and big band music. In the Paddlewheel Lounge, sip drinks or relax before or after dinner.
