A second-generation family owned and operated ranch, Rimrock Ranch's popularity is due to its friendly and personalised service and location. It sits halfway between Cody and Yellowstone National Park in the beautiful Wapiti valley of northwest Wyoming. Rimrock offers riding for all abilities, anything from the novice to the experienced rider and has a small and intimate atmosphere, accommodating up to 36 guests and welcoming singles, couples and families.
There's more than riding on offer at Rimrock, this is a great ranch for those looking to enjoy other activities including a tour of Yellowstone National Park, a white water rafting trip and fishing. Delicious meals are served family style at the ranch. There is no liqour license but you can bring your own alcohol. On certain evenings during the week, guests can enjoy cowboy singing, a visit to the Cody Nite Rodeo, a steak cook-out and a talent show.
Lodges and Cabins are unique and vary in size from one bedroom suites to three bedroom family units with cathedral ceilings, sitting areas and fireplaces. All come with an en suite bath and bed sizes vary; king, queen or twin size beds are available.
The ranch is open from June until September and offers a one week minimum stay with a Sunday to Sunday program.
Various rides are offered throughout the week with morning and afternoon cook out rides as well as an all day ride on Thursdays to Table Mountain. The rides explore scenic valleys, mountains and streams in Shoshone National Forest.
You will be assigned your own horse for the week.
Other activities include in your stay are a ranch softball game, a fishing contest in the private fishing pond, a moderate white water rafting trip, a day exploring Yellowstone Park (or Cody) and a ranch rodeo. Facilities at the ranch include a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, pool table, ping pong table and shuffle board.
Rimrock Ranch welcomes children however please note there is no specific children's program. There are discounts available for children aged 3-5 (these children will not be issued a horse) and ages 6-18.
Rimrock Ranch is ideal for a weeks ranching holiday followed or preceded by a fly drive holiday exploring Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons National Parks, natural beauty of Wyoming and the neighbouring states of Idaho and Montana. In nearby Cody, you may wish to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum.
