Paradise Guest Ranch is a friendly and hospitable ranch, 16 miles west of Buffalo, surrounded by over a million acres of national forest lands in the secluded valley in the Big Horn National Forest of north central Wyoming. Opened in 1907, Paradise is currently owned by two sets of couples, one of which run the ranch on a day to day basis. Paradise can accommodate between 60 to 70 people at maximum capacity and welcomes both couples and families.
The rustic yet comfortable cabins have one, two, three or four bedrooms. They feature a bathroom, kitchenette and washer/dryer (in two bedroom cabins or larger only). Meals are served in the large dining hall and after dinner, the French Creek Saloon is the place to be for a drink and evening activities. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available here.
Log Cabins are available in different sizes; one, two, three or four bedrooms. There are fireplaces in the cabins and en suites with baths and showers. There are also kitchenettes, washers and dryers and an outdoor deck.
The ranch is open from 28 May - 25 September 2017 and offers weekly stays that arrive and depart on a Sunday. Rides do not take place on Sundays and also, Thursday afternoons. Three or four night stays are also available over select dates.
The riding programme is very flexible and rides are offered on most days. There are two hour walking rides, half day rides with loping and trotting lessons and all day lunch rides on Wednesday and Friday, packed on mules and cooked along the trail. Afternoons can also be spent in the private arena practising team penning. Rides have 4-6 guests on each.
During your stay at Paradise, you will be given your own horse to use which you can unsaddle and groom. The riding weight limit is 250lbs.
The ranch offers a heated swimming pool and a hiking and fishing program. All hikes are guided and some travel in The Bighorn National Forest.
