Situated approximately 10 minutes drive from the heart of the village of Stowe and set on 2,500 acres of land, The Trapp Family Lodge is a mountain resort designed in an Austrian style. Open year round, this full service resort was created by the family that inspired the famous film ‘The Sound of Music’.
Decorated in a European style with a romantic feel, the Trapp Family Lodge has a collection of 96 rooms and numerous chalets and villas. Many accommodations feature mountain views such as the Deluxe Room, whilst the Premier Room is ideal for a family with young children. One and Two Bedroom Family Suites are also available.
The Trapp Family Lodge has a range of fantastic amenities from three swimming pools (one indoor), four clay tennis courts, wine tasting experiences, fitness classes, arts and crafts sessions and yoga. In the springtime, see the process of maple sugaring and the in the summer, experience concerts in the meadows. Dining takes place in The Dining Room, The Lounge and Deli Bakery, fresh cuisine is served including Vermont and Austrian dishes as well as American. Live music meanwhile can be heard in The Lounge from Thursday to Monday evenings.
Deluxe Rooms are 350 square feet and have mountain views and a balcony or patio.
Premier Rooms are slightly larger and have a king size bed and sleeper sofa or two double beds and a patio with apple orchard view or balcony with valley view.
Superior Rooms have two queen beds or one king bed and a sleeper sofa.
One Bedroom Family Room
One Bedroom Family Room has a living room with two sleeper sofa and a refrigerator, master bedroom with king size bed and televisions in both rooms.
