Overview

With Newfoundland less than a six-hour flight from the UK, this remote Atlantic Canadian island is close enough for a short adventure that will be full of unique experiences. Take to the ocean in search of whales and Atlantic Puffins. Visit ecological reserves where sea birds have settled by the thousands. Explore enchanting villages with pastel coloured clapboard houses. Follow scenic coastal drives that have more twists and turns than your favourite suspense novel and hike through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gros Morne National Park. Take a boat tour from Twillingate to Iceberg Alley where you can see icebergs that have broken off glaciers and floated down from Greenland and Canada’s Arctic (spring to early summer). This is just the ‘Tip of The Iceberg’ of what Newfoundland has to offer you.
