Luxury Vancouver Highlights plus Nimmo Bay Resort Wilderness Adventure
For a taste of luxury combined with a true British Columbia wilderness experience, we recommend combining Rosewood Georgia Hotel in Vancouver with the intimate family owned and operated Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort. Spend three days exploring the highlights of Vancovuer including a 4-hour private tour before travelling to the wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest on British Columbia’s west coast. Enjoy a selection of guided activities including kayaking, paddle-boarding, whale and bear watching tours as well as hiking and fly fishing lessons.
Day 1 - UK to Vancouver
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel. We recommend dinner at either at either the Hawksworth Restaurant at your hotel or YEW Seafood at the Four Seasons Hotel opposite the Rosewood. Alternatively, head for the historic Gastown area where there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from.
This morning you will explore many of Vancouver’s highlights on your private 4-hour tour. Visit unique neighbourhoods including Chinatown, historic Gastown and fashionable Yaletown. Continue to Stanley Park where you will visit the parks Totem Poles. You will pass by English Bay, the city’s beach park and stop at Granville Island Market before travelling to the top of The Lookout for 360-degree views of Vancouver and coastal mountains.
Today is free for you to explore Vancouver further, we recommend travelling across to the North Shore and visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge and taking the cable car up Grouse Mountain, or maybe take a day trip by seaplane from Vancouver to the historic city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Here you can take a whale-watching tour and enjoy afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.
Transfer to Vancouver airport for your scheduled flight to Port Hardy where you will connect with a seaplane transfer to Nimmo Bay Resort for your 3-night wilderness experience. While at Nimmo Bay all your meals, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and scheduled guided activities are included, such as kayaking, boating, yoga classes, whale and bear-watching tours plus many more.
Enjoy a full day of activities at Nimmo Bay Resort, these could include kayaking or paddle boarding, hiking through the Great Bear Rainforest or marine life tours by boat. There are opportunities to go out in search of Grizzly and Black Bears by boat or occasionally on guided hiking trails. Other activities include fly fishing lessons, lake swimming, rock repelling and paintball.
Another full day at Nimmo Bay for you to enjoy the resort facilities and inclusive wilderness activities. For a supplement, you can take one of the resorts optional Heli-adventures including Heli-Fishing, Heli-Hiking to alpine glaciers, waterfalls and west coast beaches or during May to August Heli-Rafting. If you prefer you can just relax at the lodge and take in the beauty of this pristine area of wilderness.
You will return to Port Hardy by seaplane to connect with your schedule flight to Vancouver and onwards to the UK.
All scheduled and inclusive guided non-helicopter and wildlife viewing excursions at Nimmo Bay Resort are subject to last minute cancellations due to adverse weather conditions. There are no guarantees that bears or whales will be spotted on wildlife viewing experiences.
