Overview


Discover the vibrant and multi-cultural city of Toronto and take in panoramic views from the top of the CN Tower. Tour the capital’s gothic Parliament buildings and House of Commons in Ottawa. Indulge in sweet treats at a Quebecois sugar shack and sample local delicacies on a walking tour of Old Montreal. Day 1 - UK - Toronto
Upon arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met by a representative of Tauck Tours and transferred to your hotel. This evening’s tour is a private after-hours visit to the Royal Ontario Museum where you will enjoy a welcome reception and dinner. Meals: Dinner

Day 2 - Niagara Falls and Toronto
Today you will travel south to the border of the USA and take a morning cruise to the base of the thundering Niagara Falls. You will have free-time to wander around the quaint Victorian-style village of Niagara-on-the-Lake and enjoy lunch at your leisure before returning to Toronto in the afternoon. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 3 - Thousand Islands Cruise plus Ottawa
Today you will leave for Ottawa. The journey will follow the St Lawrence River where you will take a leisurely lunch cruise through the scenic Thousand Islands, where elaborate mansions sit on their own private islands. An archipelago of more than 1,800 islands that straddles the USA and Canada border, Thousand Islands was a retreat for the wealthy in the 19th century. Continue to Ottawa to check-in to your French Chateau-style hotel for two nights. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4 - Ottawa
This morning’s sightseeing tour includes guided visits to the city’s Parliament Buildings and House of Commons. A tour of the Canadian Museum of History showcases the cultural diversity and history of its people and is one of North America’s oldest cultural institutions. Meals: Breakfast

Day 5 - Meet a Mountie
Meet a retired officer from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Force before continuing your tour on to the French-speaking city of Montreal in the province of Quebec. A lunch stop is taken at Chateau Vaudreuil on the shores of the Lake of Two Mountains. You will stay at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth for two nights. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation: Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth

Day 6 - Walking and Tasting Tour of Old Montreal
Explore old Montreal on a walking tour through its cobbled streets and city squares, admiring the 18th and 19th-century architecture, stopping along the way to sample local delicacies. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city further before dinner in one of the old city’s popular restaurants. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner Accommodation: Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth

Day 7 - Visit a Sugar Shack and Montmorency Falls
Your tour continues along the St Lawrence River to Trois-Rivieres. This city offers many art galleries and museums, as well as delightful walks through the centre. A stop is taken at a Quebecois sugar shack, where you will watch a maple sugar demonstration and sample some sweet treats. Another stop is at Montmorency Falls, where you will experience a tour and gondola ride, before arriving at Quebec City. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 8 - Quebec City and Ile d’Orleans
Familiarise yourself with this historic city on this morning’s tour, which will pass by La Citadelle de Quebec and Plains of Abraham. Your tour will take you to historic Ile d’Orleans, an island of bountiful farmland and red-roofed houses. Lunch will be taken in a historic French flour mill, before a cider tasting at a local farm. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch.

Day 9 - Quebec City
The entire day is free for you to explore Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Stroll through the warren of cobblestoned streets, exploring both Lower and Upper Town. This evening is your farewell reception and dinner, which is served at your landmark hotel, Fairmont le Chateau Frontenac. Meals: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 10 - Quebec to UK
After you have checked out this morning you will be transferred to Quebec Airport for your flight home to the UK, or onward to your next destination. Meals: Breakfast
