This quaint town in Nova Scotia overlooks the picturesque, red-hued sands and cliffs of Cape Blomidon and is a great stop on a Canada multi-centre holiday, especially for those who wish to explore the delights of the Annapolis Valley and Bay of Fundy.
If you’re here on a Saturday, be sure to head down to Wolfville Farmers’ Market – just one of many in this agricultural region – to peruse the fresh produce. Any day of the week, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to frequent while here, and the nearby town of Grand Pré is also home to some excellent eateries.
Natural beauty surrounds the town, but there’s also plenty to be found within it, in Victorian formal gardens such as Blomidon Inn Gardens and Harriet Irving Botantical Gardens.
Fans of good vintage shouldn’t miss the chance to visit one or more of the excellent wineries in nearby Annapolis Valley either.
