Day 1 - UK – Lima
Catch your direct flight to Lima, arriving in the early evening. Your Lima hotel, Courtyard by Marriott, is located in the stylish Miraflores neighbourhood. This is a fantastic district to explore and get a feel for the Lima culture – some of the best restaurants in Latin America can be found here. Day 2 - Lima
Spend the day exploring Lima, whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop by famous sights such as the cathedral, Archbishop’s palace and City Hall. Admire the city’s historic architecture, which sits alongside upmarket, modern neighbourhoods.
Enjoy the picturesque views from the Parque del Amor (Park of Love), and explore the Larco Museum, which houses thousands of artefacts daring back over 3,000 years.
Day 3 - Lima – Cuzco – Sacred Valley
Explore the splendour of the Sacred Valley, a rich and verdant landscape dotted with many rustic villages, important sites and patchwork fields. Experience the indigenous way of life in villages such as Pisac and Cinchero, and browse the traditional markets for souvenirs. Day 4 - Sacred Valley
Spend the morning taking in the bucolic beauty of the area, before going sightseeing. The town of Maras is home to sparkling salt pans, and Moray’s ancient circular terraced ruins are fascinating. Day 5 - Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
Today you will travel to the town of Aguas Calientes by train. The town is the gateway to the iconic Machu Picchu. This world wonder is an imposing structure, and today you will have time to explore its many secrets. Day 6 - Machu Picchu – Cuzco
Watch the early-morning sunrise from Machu Picchu itself, before spending the morning doing even more exploring. Huyana Picchu affords aerial views of the citadel itself, perfect for those holiday snaps. Back in Aguas Calientes, hop onto the train that will take you to Poroy, just outside the ancient city of Cuzco. Here you will find ancient buildings and ruins, alongside a burgeoning gastronomy scene and plenty of fascinating churches.VIEW ACCOMMODATION
Day 7 - Cuzco
Discover the city in a day of exploration. The imposing cathedral sits next to the main square (Plaza de Armas), and along with the Koricancha temple is a ‘must visit’ attraction in the city. Nearby, admire the gargantuan structure of the Sacsayhuaman fortress, once believed to have functioned as a solar calendar.VIEW ACCOMMODATION
Day 8 - Cuzco – Puno, Lake Titicaca
You will travel by road to the town of Puno, perched next to Lake Titicaca. At Andahuaylillas admire the 17th century church and its ornate organ, before heading for the Incan ruins at Racchi. Day 9 - Lake Titicaca
Spend the last full day of your holiday exploring the beautiful Lake Titicaca. According to Peruvian tradition, the lake is the birthplace of the sun, and it is the largest in South America. Taquile Island affords spectacular views over the water, and is home to a thriving community. Visit the tortura reed islands, and meet the Uros people who inhabit them.VIEW ACCOMMODATION

Travel to Juliaca airport for your trip back to the UK via Lima.
