Classic Colombia and Panama

Classic Colombia and Panama

On this adventure-packed tour, discover one of Central America’s most fascinating capitals; Panama City and the famous Panama Canal. A once-in-a-lifetime experience for many, cruise along the Panama Canal and learn about this extraordinary feat of engineering.

In Panama City, you’ll find a distinct combination of historic buildings and ultra-modern architecture overlooking the Bay of Panama. The city’s famous “Casco Viejo” (the old quarter) is an ideal spot to stroll and take in the historic charm.

Next stop is Colombia; a land of unspoiled Caribbean coast, picturesque colonial towns, soaring Andean summits and everything in-between! Starting in the bustling capital city of Bogota, visit some of Latin America’s best museums (we particularly love the renowned Botero Museum and the dazzling Gold Museum).

Next stop is the rolling green hills of the coffee region, deep valleys dotted with the world’s tallest palms, cloud forests and beautiful colourful colonial towns. Spending a few days here is essential in any trip to Colombia, learn about the production of coffee, one of Colombia’s biggest exports and the rural way of life.

Medellin, once run by the infamous Pablo Escobar and known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world, has since shaken off its dangerous reputation and is an excellent example of social transformation. Colombia’s striking hillside metropolis now offers exceptional museums and galleries, fine restaurants and bars.

Finally, on the Caribbean coast you will discover the colourful colonial Cartagena, considered by some as Latin America’s most beautiful city.
For those wanting to extend their time in Colombia and enjoy some relaxation after all that exploring, we recommend a trip to the jungle-strewn beaches of Tayrona National Park.
