Day 1 - UK – Buenos Aires
Depart the UK on your British Airways overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires
Upon arrival, transfer to your charming boutique hotel - Legado Mitico – which is located in Palermo Soho, a neighbourhood known for its mix of bohemia and modernity. Spend the day acquainting yourself with the city; here you’ll find a hint of European culture alongside bold, Latin spirit. Admire the grand architectural styles, visit stylish bars, cafés and restaurants and soak in the passionate rhythm that characterises Buenos Aires.

Day 3 - Buenos Aires
There’s plenty of history to explore in Buenos Aires – from the iconic obelisk and famous Plaza de Mayo to the grand cathedral and beautiful ‘Pink House’. Today take a city tour to learn about the rich history, listen to Latin music and perhaps watch a tango performance. There is a plethora of fantastic eateries to enjoy, and you shouldn’t miss the world-renowned Dulce de Leche ice cream from Freddo!

Day 4 - Buenos Aires – Ushuaia
Fly down to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego’s capital and the most southerly city in the world. Spend 3 nights at the Arakur Resort & Spa with fantastic views over the Beagle Channel.  On a short city tour visit the End of the World Museum and learn about the first settlers in this remote region. Visit different panoramic sights of the city and marvel at the surrounding landscapes.

Day 5 - Ushuaia – Tierra del Fuego National Park
Today visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park, spread over 63,000 hectares. Valleys, peaks, glacial lakes and rivers all come together to form some of Argentina’s most dramatic scenery. This windswept archipelago boasts superb hiking trails through Andean-Patagonian sub-Antarctic forest, and wildlife including Fuegian red foxes, beavers and many varieties of birds; learn about the local flora and fauna whilst taking in breath-taking landscapes.

Day 6 - Ushuaia – Beagle Channel
Cruise along the Beagle Channel, keeping an eye out for sea lions and petrel birds, which swoop low over the water. You’ll spot more fascinating wildlife at Martillo Island, home to a noisy colony of Magellan penguins. Visit a typical Patagonian estancia, such as Harberton, for a traditional English tea – learn about life on a homestead in this rugged area and enjoy a tour of the farm.

Day 7 - Ushuaia – El Calafate
Fly to El Calafate – named after berries that are said to guarantee your return to Patagonia if you eat them. On the southern border of Lake Argentino, this small town is the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park and home to the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier. The main street is lined with quaint shops selling souvenirs and chocolates. Be sure to try the delicious Patagonian lamb whilst in the region!

Day 8 - El Calafate – Perito Moreno Glacier
Encompassing endless wild and windswept expanses, the area around El Calafate provides excellent opportunities to take in the beautiful surroundings. The next two days are spent at leisure, or optional excursions can be booked. Be sure to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier - the natural wonder is over five kilometres long. Walk across purpose-built boardwalks for striking views of the ice.

Day 9 - El Calafate
With towering mountains, blooming lenga forests, glacial lakes and lonely steppes, the landscape here is ideal for photographers, and numerous hikes can be arranged. Perhaps explore some of the many traditional estancias and learn about the history of the region’s first settlers. Estancia Cristiana, established in 1914, has a museum and guests can enjoy fishing at the Caterina River or go horseback riding across Rio de los Perros.

Day 10 - El Calafate – El Chaltén
Travel north overland to El Chaltén. Situated in a long glacial valley, the town is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. An adventurer’s mecca, there is a fantastic selection of walking trails and paths with plenty of opportunities to trek and explore the dramatic scenery. Perhaps visit Lago Desierto, perfect for fishing or mountain biking. The next three days are spent at leisure or guided excursions can be booked.

Day 11 - El Chaltén
White-capped, jagged and imposing; the mountains around El Chaltén and the paths within them are the main attraction. The jewel in the crown is Mount Fitzroy and its striking granite massif. There are multiple trekking options, including day hikes and treks to relatively unexplored areas. Stop to gaze at the Piedras Blancas Glacier, or head to the viewpoint at Laguna de los Tres for panoramic views.

Day 12 - El Chaltén
As you explore Mount Fitz Roy and its surroundings, discover the variety of flora and fauna present here. Calafate plants, beautiful orchids and dense forests carpet the landscape, and birdwatchers will find plenty to keep them occupied; woodpeckers, Chucao tapaculo and Caracaras can all be found here, and lucky visitors may even spot a Huemul deer.

Day 13 - El Chaltén – El Calafate – Buenos Aires
Enjoy the scenic drive back to El Calafate, before leaving the rugged landscapes behind and flying back to the metropolis. In Buenos Aires, enjoy a farewell meal – Argentina is of course famous for its steak – accompanied by a fine Argentinian wine.
