The G Expedition is an intimate small-ship expedition cruiser. Completely refurbished in 2009, the ship’s focus is on space, comfort and expertise. Built to break through pack-ice and withstand rough weather conditions, the sturdy vessel is built for speed, so that passengers spend less time in transit and more time exploring.
The ship holds up to 134 passengers and boasts large common areas and observation deck; there is a 360-degree top observation deck ideal for wildlife spotting and a large aft deck ready for a barbecue under the vast Antarctic skies. All cabins have en suite facilities and outside views.
Meals are served in the Albatross Dining Room in one sitting for lunch and evening meals, and international cuisine is served. Aboard there is also the Polar Bear Pub, a large heated mud room, a Lonely Planet library and a Discovery Lounge. With a large fleet of Zodiacs, passengers can be out and stepping foot on land as quickly as possible. Complimentary Wellington boots and a destination guide is provided for all passengers.
