Why Vietnam?

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are the two main cities, each offering an insight into urban life in totally different forms. Hanoi, the capital, is bursting with culture and French colonial charm while Ho Chi Minh is the booming economic capital and vibrant cosmopolitan metropolis. In between the beaches, the watery landscape of Mekong Delta and a number of UNESCO Heritage Sites, make travelling here just as interesting as reaching your destination!

When is the best time to visit Vietnam?

Vietnam is an immensely long country, stretching for more than 2000km from top to bottom, bordered by China to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west and the South China Sea to the south and east.

Vietnam’s climate varies dramatically from one part of the country to the other and is governed by two monsoons. The winter monsoon comes from the north-east between October and March and brings wet chilly weather to everywhere north of Nha Trang but dry, warm weather to the south. From May to October, the south-west monsoon brings warm, wet weather to most of the country except the north. Between July and November, major typhoons can strike the coast between Nha Trang and Hanoi with serious consequences.

Average daytime temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City range from 25C to 35C, while in Hanoi it ranges from as low as 10-20C to 30-35C depending on the season.

You can get flights into Hanoi with Singapore Airlines via Singapore, Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur, Thai Airways via Bangkok or Qatar Airways via Doha. You can also fly into Ho Chi Minh City with Singapore Airlines via Singapore, Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur , Thai Airways via Bangkok , Qatar Airways via Doha, Etihad Airways via Abu Dhabi, or Emirates via Dubai. Singapore Airlines additionally offer flights into Danang via Singapore.
