Thailand Holidays

Known as 'The Land of Smiles', The Kingdom of Thailand has a legendary landscape of wild jungles, temple-strewn cities and idyllic white-sand beaches. Add to that the world-famous Thai hospitality and it's no wonder the country is one of the most visited in South East Asia.

Discover the golden temples of ancient Siam, experience the bustle of Bangkok, or relax on beaches dotted between dramatic mountains around the gulf. We love taking people through this beautiful country. We can put together bespoke tours and itineraries to make sure you get the most from your trip to one of South East Asia’s most diverse countries.

Spirituality And History Come Together

Thailand is predominantly Buddhist, making it a very spiritual place. You can smell the sweet incense burning day and night as locals pray at the shrines spread throughout the country’s landscape. The best places to experience the sheer opulence of Bangkok, are the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Outside the city, the temple ruins of Ayutthaya, Thailand’s former capital, are fascinating reminders of Thailand’s varied past.

Vibrant City Life And Stunning Wildlife

Drift through the colourful and energetic markets of Bangkok and sample street food from the eclectic vendors of the city. From traditional festivals to modern bars, life is colourful and fast paced in this exciting metropolis. When you’re done with city life, head to exotic forests and beaches. Introduce yourself to the elephants at Koh Sok National Park or climb up the limestone cliffs in Krabi for breathtaking views across the south coastline.

A Beautiful Ocean Retreat

Those who return from Thailand are forever spoiled by the intense beauty of the beaches. Nothing can compare with her turquoise ocean and virgin white sands. The lively beaches in Phuket and Koh Samui promise excitement and fine dining, where visitors can enjoy fresh local food and gaze across the sparkling seas of the Andaman. For a more secluded beach experience, head to the peaceful shores around Khao Lak, Koh Lanta, Koh Samet and Koh Yao.

Experience Thailand The W&Onderful Way

Mix and match the exciting locations of Thailand with a multi-centre holiday. Combine the culture of Bangkok with the serene beauty of the southern beaches. Or take your family out for a wildlife adventure in Northern Thailand or the National Parks.

En-route to Thailand, it’s easy to make a stop in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore or Hong Kong. Exciting cities for serious shopping and sightseeing. Alternatively, you could head deeper into the Far East and travel to Cambodia or Vietnam for some culture and temples.
Call our travel specialists to discuss luxury holidays to Thailand and we can give you more advice about when and where to go.

Thailand Travel Guide

Why Thailand?

From the dewy green hills surrounding Chiang Mai to the bustling city of Bangkok and the idyllic paradise islands dotted around in the azure waters to the south, Thailand is truly a majestic place to visit. With deep-rooted Buddhist influences, taste bud tingling cuisine and an abundance of magnificent wildlife, there is a buzz throughout Thailand that can be found nowhere else. Whether you want to unwind on the endless sandy beaches before enjoying a traditional Thai massage, or dive into the refreshing blue and get competitive with water sports, you'll find your peace in Thailand.

Why Thailand with us?

Our team of Thailand experts have not only travelled extensively throughout the country but often lived there too! From sampling the endless variety of exquisite local cuisine to combing the coasts for the most idyllic beaches and frequently revisiting the destinations that we sell, they know Thailand inside out and are eager to ensure that you experience the very best of this extraordinary country.

When is the best time to visit Thailand?

Generally, the best time to visit Thailand is from November to February when the weather is dry and the temperatures are not too hot. In Northern Thailand, between November and May the weather is mostly dry; rainfall is at its heaviest between May and November. The Southern Thai beaches are faced with two weather systems which bring the tropical rains at different times of the year. On the West coast (Krabi & Phuket) the southwest monsoon brings rain between April and October, whilst on the East coast (Koh Samui & Koh Phangan) the most rain falls between September and December.

How do I get to Thailand?

There are several direct flights from Heathrow into Bangkok with Thai Airways, Eva Air and British Airways, with domestic onwards flights within Thailand. You can also choose to fly via Singapore with Singapore Airlines, via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific or via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines. To fly into Phuket, you can travel via the Middle East with Emirates or Etihad Airways; Emirates offer regional UK flights from Gatwick, Heathrow or Birmingham.

Smoking

Please note that from Thursday 1st February 2018, Thailand is imposing a total smoking ban on 24 popular beaches across the country as part of its sustainable tourism drive. The major beaches include high volume destinations such as Phuket, Samui, Krabi, Hua Hin and Koh Phi Phi. Thai beaches are among some the most beautiful in Southeast Asia and local authorities aim to keep them that way. Visitors who do smoke will still be accommodated in designated smoking areas.
E-cigarettes - Personal possession of e-cigarettes in Thailand is illegal. These products fall into a category of goods that have not been taxed therefore being caught in possession with an e-cigarette within the country is illegal.
