Mexico Holidays

Mexico holidays combine the vibrant culture, fascinating history and exciting cuisine of Latin America with the pristine beaches, colourful wildlife and serene natural beauty typical of a Caribbean holiday.

Most holidays here start in Mexico City; the bustling capital city is well-worth a visit in its own right. Dine at fine-dining restaurants and street food carts alike, and explore the city’s rich history and fascinating architecture. There are also a host of rewarding day-trips and excursions available from the city – visit the ancient city of Teotihuacan and marvel at the incredible pyramids, or visit the Anthropology Museum and while away a few hours immersing yourself in the wonders of Mexico’s history.

For more Aztec history, head to Chichen Itza, on the Yucatán Peninsula – here you’ll discover a wealth of archaeological sites that offer an amazing insight into ancient civilisations. Mérida is full of stunning colonial architecture, while holidays to San Cristóbal and Palenque offer a great mix of scenic landscapes and cultural sites. Oaxaca has long been known as a cultural gem, and visitors here find a rich culinary scene alongside colourful landscapes and architectural delights.

Those looking for a beachside retreat won’t be disappointed in Mexico either. Cancun is famous for its glitzy nightlife, great selection of beachside bars and countless stretches of golden sand. The Mayan Riviera offers a Caribbean coastline, white sand beaches, a plethora of stylish resorts and plenty of culture.

Our Destination Experts can tailor-make your holiday to Mexico to perfectly suit your desires. Perhaps you want to combine cosmopolitan Mexico City with a luxury beach break in Cancun, or maybe your dream trip is an exploration of Aztec and Spanish colonial culture, taking you from Chichen Itza to Mérida and Oaxaca.

Whatever your requirements, our team would be delighted to create a bespoke quote. Browse our suggested tours for inspiration, and give us a call to start planning.

Travel Guide

Why Mexico?

From cactus-strewn deserts speckled with remote, dusty towns to tangled swathes of lush, tropical jungle, rugged mountain ranges, sugar-white sandy beaches and vibrant, cosmopolitan cities teeming with life, Mexico is a land of a thousand intriguing contradictions. The resplendent Riviera Maya stretches from the vibrant, sleepless city of Cancun in the north along a pristine coastline of white, palm-fringed sands and turquoise seas to the archaeological site of Tulum in the south, encompassing tropical parkland, first-class snorkelling and diving sites, small rustic hotels and luxurious resorts; so whether you want some sun-baked R&R, adventure-filled days or lively late night partying, this charismatic stretch of coastline is sure to deliver.

Why Mexico with us?

Our helpful team of Caribbean experts are frequent visitors to Mexico and the Riviera Maya, an area they know like the back of their hands. Regularly revisiting the resorts that we sell in order to stay up to date with all the latest developments, they are both knowledgeable and passionate about the region as a holiday destination – and dedicated to ensuring that you soon feel the exact same way.

What is the best time to visit Mexico?

Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures all year round, however this is divided into two distinct seasons: wet and dry. December through to April tends to be the driest period to visit, and thus the most popular. September and October are the wettest and quietest months, although there is still plenty of sunshine.
