Dominica Holidays

Known as the nature island, Dominica is covered from coastline to mountain-top in thick rainforest, with only a few postcard beaches. The beauty of Dominica lies within. There are over 300 miles of footpath, winding through the forest to hot springs, epic waterfalls and hidden black-sand coves.

Let Loose Your Sense Of Adventure

The epic hikes through mountainous rainforests are not for the faint-hearted. But with the boiling lake at the end of it, the long trek is well worth it. Hot springs and mud pools are a commodity in the Trios Pitons Natural Park. The site of a collapsed volcano, the Park encompasses a number of natural wonders, giving it the status of a UNESCO world heritage site.

Experience The Authentic Caribbean

Spared from the influences of mass tourism, Dominica still holds onto its character. The towns aren’t flashy resorts, but marketplaces buzzing with life. You can sample village life too in the beautifully recreated Kalinago Barana Autê, a traditional village that immortalises Dominica’s native past. And don’t miss the World Creole Music Festival if you stay in October.

Champagne Diving With Whales

Dominica may not have many beaches, but it does have beautiful ones. Our favourite beach is Champagne with its unique diving experience. Its bubbly water makes it feel as if you are swimming in champagne, only alongside pretty coloured fish. Where possible, we’ve created holidays close to the beaches so you can experience a whole package. Just make sure you travel further out to sea as Dominica has the best whale watching all year round.

Travel Guide

Why Dominica?

Aptly nicknamed the ‘Nature Island’, Dominica is one of the Caribbean’s best kept secrets – a largely undiscovered gem with a decidedly different ambiance to that of its neighbours. Unfairly blessed in supreme natural beauty even by the Caribbean’s hyperbolic standards, it virtually bursts at the seams with swathes of lush tropical rainforest, outstanding national parks, sleepy villages steeped in old world magic and sparkling waterfalls cascading into rivers that race each other across the island to the sea. Among its string of accolades and affectionate nicknames, Dominica boasts the title of ‘Whale Watching Capital of the Caribbean’, and home to the last indigenous people of the Caribbean, the Kalingo Indians.

Why Dominica with us?

Our hard working team of Caribbean experts are frequent visitors to Dominica, and island that they know (and love) from shore to shore. Regularly revisiting the resorts that we sell in order to stay up to date with all new developments, they are not only highly knowledgeable about the island myriad attractions, but genuinely passionate about Dominica as a holiday destination – and committed to ensuring that you soon feel the same way!

What is the best time to visit Dominica?

The best time to visit Dominica tends to be between the months of January and May, when the weather is at its warmest and driest. June through to November is hurricane season, when rain and wet weather is also much more prevalent.
