We know that travelling with your family can sometimes be stressful, which is why we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience from the moment you call us. Our family travel specialists have put together a list of some of the most common questions that they are asked, and they are here to help if you have any further questions. Just ring 020 7666 1230.

Does my family need jabs or vaccinations before we go on holiday? This depends on the area that you visit and we recommend you consult with your local GP for the latest health advice. However, when going to a hot climate with mosquitoes always make sure you take with plenty of repellent and after-bite. While in most places you will be able to buy more, it is always recommended to take enough away with you for the duration of your stay.

How can I be sure the resort is safe? We carry out a health and safety audit of hotels with our hotels annually to make sure that they operate to the highest standard of health and safety. 

Do you recommend a travel insurance provider? We recommend Travel & General Insurance Services Limited. For any assistance with insurance please call the tagconnect helpline directly on 0845 345 3456.

My children are still on my passport, is this OK? No, all children require their own passport including babies. We recommend visiting your local pharmacy or high street photographer experienced in photographing babies for passport photos.

Can you book UK airport parking and hotels for me? Yes. Discuss this with your travel specialist and they can arrange this for you.

As a family, can we get priority boarding? This depends on the airline. If priority boarding is important, consider an upgrade to premium economy or business class. Flying Easyjet to some of our short haul destinations you can arrange for speedy boarding for you and your family.

Do you have overseas representation? We have local representation at all of our long haul destinations and an emergency contact available 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency.

Do you provide child seats on transfers? In almost all destinations we feature in our family programme, child seats are provided and we will confirm this at the time of booking.

Can you guarantee my family interconnecting rooms? Interconnecting rooms are normally available on a first come first serve basis and may be guaranteed at the time of booking with certain hotels but there is limited availability. If there are none available when you book your holiday, our travel specialists will ensure that you find a suitable alternative instead.

Will there be suitable food for children at the hotel? Our family hotels offer a wide variety of cuisine ensuring that there is something for everyone. Some of our hotels also hold early meals for families with younger children.

Are there babysitting facilities? Most of our family hotels provide babysitting facilities. There is normally an extra charge and it is generally on a first come, first served basis so we do advise to book this service in advance. Ask our family specialists for more information.

Are there kids' clubs? Most of our family hotels have facilities for children of different ages, including creches, mini-clubs and teens' clubs. Ask a family specialist for more information.

Will the children learn something? Some of our hotels have kids' clubs specifically designed to educate and encourage children to be more active and creative, and to learn new skills and more about the country you're visiting. Ask your family specialist about these hotels for more information.

Will the kids activities be in English? There is an English speaking employee in all of our kids' clubs.

Are nappies, baby formula, puree, highchairs and cots provided? This depends on your hotel, but it is often possible to request these in advance. Check with your travel specialist before you depart for more information.

How do I arrange a late checkout? You can arrange a late checkout through your family travel specialist; just let them know your requirements and they'll do the rest.

If I have a complaint while on holiday, what do I do? Try to resolve the situation in the resort immediately with the hotel’s general manager and also contact us for further assistance; do not leave any complaints until you return home as we may not be able to resolve them.

It will be one of the children's birthdays during the trip, can you help us arrange something? Yes, we can inform the hotel prior to your arrival of any special occasion which you will be celebrating.

Is there a doctor or medical centre nearby? Some of the larger resorts in Europe may have a doctor or medical personnel on site while others may be in closer proximity to medical facilities. Ask your travel specialist for more information and always remember to disclose any physical disability so that we can find an appropriate hotel to cater to you.

I am heavily pregnant. Do your resorts allow pregnant women to stay? We do not recommend travel for pregnant women after 36 weeks pregnancy and many airlines will require a doctor’s letter to confirm you are fit to travel after this period of pregnancy. Certain countries require pregnant women to obtain a visitor's visa prior to travel. Always make sure that you check with your doctor that you are safe to travel before booking your holiday.
