Colours of New England is a great escorted group tour highlighting the best of four of the six states of New England; Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Take a cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, visit a cider factory and the Ben & Jerry’s factory and see the beautiful scenery of the White Mountains region- all in 8 days! Enjoy nights in two different areas of New Engalnd, the pretty and traditional village of Stowe in Vermont and the cultural and happening city of Boston.
Escorted group tours are led by expert local English-speaking guides, accommodation is mid-range in 3-4* hotels and comfortable coaches transport you around. Single travellers are welcome and there is a maximum of 40 people on each tour. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Boston stopping off at the Old South Meeting House, Public Gardens, Old North Church, Beacon Hill, and the U.S.S. Constitution and Faneuil Hall marketplace. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional lobster dinner at the oldest Oyster House in America (Breakfast and dinner is included).
Woodstock - Stowe
Journey to Vermont with its pretty churches, villages and lush mountains. En route to your destination, Stowe, you will visit Woodstock, a typical New England village with its Georgian houses and also stop off at the 165 foot deep, mile-long Quechee Gorge. Spend 2 nights at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, Stowe (Breakfast and dinner is included).
Start your day in Stowe with a trip to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you can see the production process of cider using the traditional method of a rack and cloth press. Afterwards, go on a tour of the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and taste some ice cream at the end! In the afternoon, spend time at your leisure exploring Stowe (Breakfast is included).
Journey from Stowe to North Conway seeing the White Mountains of New Hampshire and stopping off at the Rocks Estate where you can learn about the production of maple sugar, visit the tap room and a farm in the North Country Conservation & Education Centre. Spend 2 nights at the North Conway Grand Hotel, North Conway (Breakfast and dinner is included).
Lake Winnipesaukee - Wolfebro - Lincoln
Today enjoy a highlight of the Colours of New England tour with an hour’s cruise on the M/S Mount Washington going around Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake of New Hampshire. Afterwards, visit the town of Wolfebro, a popular summer spot! Travel back to Lincoln on the Kancamagus Highway which offers beautiful views of the White Mountains (Breakfast is included).
Today you will travel to Boothbay Harbor and upon arrival enjoy a cruise seeing lighthouses, homes and possibly seals. You will have the opportunity to learn about the lobster trade and see lobster being caught. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner of lobster! Spend the night at Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa (Boothbay Harbor) or Bootbay Harbor Inn (Boothbay Harbor) or Nonatum Resort (Kennebunkport) (Breakfast and dinner is included).
Kennebunkport - Boston
On your final day you will travel through the town of Kennebunkport passing by Walker’s Point, the summer house of George Bush, and arrive finally at Boston airport for your overnight flight back to London (Breakfast is included).
