MUMBAI TO SULTAN'S BATTERY

A restful night on arrival in Mumbai. Then a morning flight to Calicut and on to Sultan's Battery. Your accommodation will be at the Tranquil Plantation Hideaway in the Kuppamudi Coffee Estate, a secluded area surrounded by rolling hills, tropical jungle and plantations. Enjoy walking in the hills and coffee estate or trek to the famous caves at Edakal.

TELLICHERRY AND COORG

Onwards to Tellicherry, this rarely visited coastal town is a delight to explore with its old forts where traditional martial dances can be watched. Next is Coorg, a splendid area for walking and birdwatching. Tour the plantations and take an afternoon boat ride on the lake. Staying in the wonderful Orange County Tents will enhance your experience even more.

GAME DRIVES - NAGARHOLE NATIONAL PARK

On the Southern tip of the Western Ghats you'll spend a couple of days exploring the stunning Nagarhole National Park. Take in a morning and evening game drive to view the rich and distinctive wildlife.

HILL STATIONS AND TOY TRAINS - OOTY AND PALAKKAD

On to Ooty, the former British retreat in the Nilgiris, with its beautiful scenery and toy train rides. Then Palakkad, visiting the charming hill station of Coonoor en route. The town of Palakkad is a delight to explore with its interesting mix of Kerala and Tamil Nadu cultures.

FROM FISHING NETS TO TRADITIONAL DANCE - COCHIN

Cochin will be your final destination; this fascinating port city is rich in history. The influences of Cochin's past abound, you will see Chinese fishing nets, the Dutch Palace and Synagogue in the old Jewish town. A traditional Kathakali dance performance is another option as is simply relaxing and enjoying the unique atmosphere before your flight home to London.
