TARAGARHS TEA GARDENS AND SHIMLA'S BAZAARS

Just a short drive takes you to Taragarh, set amidst tea gardens and forests in the stunning Kangra Valley. A beautiful spot for walking in the hills or visiting the Tashijong Monastery or simply relaxing in these special surroundings. Next Shimla, the state capital, where the wonderful faded colonial grandeur reflects its legacy as the summer capital of the British Raj.

MUSSOORIE, NAMED AFTER THE HIMALAYAN SHRUB MANSOOR

A full day's drive to Mussoorie takes you through some of the most outstanding natural beauty, to a region renowned for its river fishing as well as providing a glimpse of a bygone era. This little hill town overlooks the huge Doon Valley and lies amidst pine and oak forests. It is no wonder the Himalayan Foothills were favoured by Raj and Maharajas as a summer retreat.

INDIA'S OLDEST, AND FINEST - CORBETT NATIONAL PARK

To the south of the region, nearly in the plains, lies the magnificent Corbett National Park. Corbett is one of Indias finest tiger sanctuaries as well as one of the oldest game parks to be found in India. Notable for its rich and varied wildlife over 50 mammal, 580 bird and 25 reptile species have been listed in the park. The game viewing is very special and an experience to be enjoyed.
