CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION

Set within 20,000 malaria-free hectares, 45 minutes northeast of Port Elizabeth, Shamwari is an internationally recognised private reserve, host to the Born Free Foundation Centre and wholly concerned with conserving a vanishing way of life. Within the reserve there are six separate and quite different luxury camps and you can choose to stay at just one or combine the different experiences.

A COLLECTION OF CAMPS

Nestling in a valley the 9 suites of Eagles Crag provide wonderful bushveld tranquillity, with tented luxury also found at Bayethe Lodge. A popular alternative is Long Lee Manor, an Edwardian manor house which has been splendidly restored to its previous elegance. Lobengula Lodge, Riverdene Lodge and the beautiful Victorian homestead of Bushmans River Lodge are other luxury options.
