Dwarikas was founded in 1952 by the owner, who collected pieces of intricately carved wooden pillars saved from becoming firewood and created a building to house his collection to operate as a guest house. Today’s guests can appreciate the arts of Nepalese history during a stay in rooms and suites with custom built furniture, organic sheets and a simple style reflecting local life, but with luxurious amenities. The spacious courtyard offers informal dining, bar and lounge areas while two further restaurants feature fine Nepali or Japanese cuisine. Facilities include a pool, a spa and a library.
