Located in Bandhavgarh in central India, the Samode Safari Lodge is set in grassy plains and reed covered wetlands between the forested hills and cliffs of the Vindhayan Mountains, convenient for jeep and elephant-back safaris in the national park.
Samode is an eco-tourism lodge, designed in a local style using natural materials with the smallest possible environmental footprint. The lodge uses solar energy and a rain water harvesting system. There are two main lodges with lounges and wooden decks and accommodation is set in chalets with bedrooms, an en suite bathroom and open-air courtyard bath.
Dining takes place at the restaurant and there are also barbeques around the campfire and meals by the pool. The Samode Safari Lodge is suited to couples with a lovely Spa.
