Hotel Overview

Insider's View

  • Enjoy a treatment at the award winning spa in one of the 6 spacious suites, then chill out in the relaxation lounge, or in one of the Jacuzzi’s, steam room or under a monsoon shower

Located in the Downtown Burj Dubai city area, next to sister property The Address Downtown Burj Dubai, this hotel offers a total contrast with a low rise palatial, Arabian style hotel.

Each of the spacious 242 rooms and suites at The Palace - The Old Town is furnished along a Middle Eastern theme, with a balcony or terrace offering views over the Old Town or the lake with its spectacular fountains. Club Room, Palace Suite and Royal Suite guests benefit from a 24 hour check-in system.

The outdoor pool and garden area has a resort feel, with views across the lake to the towering Burj Khalifa and plenty of Arabian gazebos in the shade for relaxing. The Palace - The Old Town also offers a choice of restaurants, fitness centre and a gorgeous spa which alongside the treatment suites features Oriental bath houses with Hammam tables and Hydrospa bathtubs.

Dubai Mall is a five minute stroll away and boasts an aquarium and even an Olympic size ice skating arena, as well as plenty of shops. For a more traditional experience enjoy the shops, cafes and restaurants at the Souk Al Bahar next door.  A variety of excursions can be arranged in conjunction with Arabian Ranches Polo Club including: Desert Hacking (horse riding trails in the desert), stable tours and high tea with polo.

Customer Hotel Reviews

Michelle Emms says:

Our holiday was absolutely faultless from start to finish. We dealt with Vicky who arranged our holiday and booked the hotel and flights that we had requested. Our travel documents arrived from you about 2 weeks before our trip. We were very impressed with Emirates airlines, having never used them before. The transfers to and from airport/hotel were excellent and the driver was waiting for us as arranged. The hotel was superb, the best I have ever stayed in. The service is excellent, and the staff were highly efficient but also very friendly, they cannot do enough for you. This hotel is on the more expensive side, but for a treat it is absolutely worth it. It's in a fantastic location next to The Dubai Mall, Souk and the fountains. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and if we go to Dubai again would always stay at this hotel. This is the first time we have used Western and Oriental. We have been most impressed and will use again, without hesitation, for future trips. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

How To Book

How do I talk to a specialist in Dubai holidays?

We are happy to give you a call back to discuss your holiday at a convenient time for you or we welcome you to come to our office in central London to discuss your holiday in detail.

Why use our specialist service?

Our destination experts provide a personalised service to tailormake your dream holiday. Within our experienced team we have visited most of the properties we feature and will be able to give you expertise and specialist knowledge from our first hand experience. You will be offered a direct telephone number, so you are able to speak to the same specialist from the time you pick up the phone until your documents are sent out.

Do I have to travel on certain dates and only do the itineraries suggested?

No, we tailormake all our holidays and subject to availability you will be able to travel on any date. The itineraries and holidays on our website are for inspiration and are suggestions only, you can change any aspect according to your personal requirements and available spend.

How far in advance should I book my holiday?

Many customers are under the illusion that booking late secures the best prices. This is often not the case and it is advisable to book early especially if travelling in peak seasons such as Christmas, Easter or school holidays. Many hotels and airlines actually offer special “Early Booking Offers” so you are able to secure the best price early on.

I don’t know what board basis to book. Can I eat out locally, should I consider All Inclusive?

It's always a difficult decision to make before you travel. Call one of our destination experts, who will be happy to advise you on local restaurants and prices you can expect to pay in resort.

What can I do when I get there?

There are many excursions, activities and highlights that are not to be missed out on, whilst in the country. Please contact our experts for advise on whether to prebook these before travel.

What financial protection do you offer?

When booking through Western and Oriental, if your flight is delayed or cancelled due to bad weather or you have a problem in resort it is our responsibility you are taken care of. We offer a 24 hour emergency number to assist with any issues you may have in resort and all of our flight inclusive holidays are financially protected through ATOL bonding for your protection.

Weather

Dubai is a year round destination. October to April is generally the most pleasant time to go on a Dubai holiday, usually with bright sunny days and pleasantly cooler evenings. Between May and October temperatures and humidity rise, particularly in the mid-summer months which can be extremely hot.
