Nestled into the cool mountains of Jatiluwih (a World Heritage site) and surrounded by dense, evergreen rainforest, this tented resort has just eight tents and offers guests an experience few others will get to have.
 
Offering intrepid travel combined with decadent accommodation, each of the tents has an en suite bathroom and large private terrace where guests can enjoy unrivalled panoramas of dense mountain and an outstanding sunrise at dawn. At night, a sky full of stars, and the sounds of the jungle burst through to give guests a real sense of the uninterrupted Balinese world. Each tent is a semi permanent structure with a rustic yet chic interior. Wooden floorboards with a canvas roof plus large, comfortable beds and a mountain spring water rain shower with hot water available from the water heater.
 
Built from traditional bamboo, The Pakis Restaurant offers an authentic Balinese food experience using edible wild mountain vegetables, leaves and roots, and a western-style BBQ menu. Guests take their meals sitting around the open kitchen where they can chat to the chef and watch as their meal is prepared. Later, it’s an excellent place to enjoy an evening cocktail and socialise with other guests.
 
The intrepid location means there are plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Guests can enjoy nature walks through the mountains, bird watching, mountain biking and hiking.

How far in advance should I book my holiday?

Many customers are under the illusion that booking late secures the best prices. This is often not the case and it is advisable to book early especially if travelling in peak seasons such as Christmas, Easter or school holidays. Many hotels and airlines actually offer special “Early Booking Offers” so you are able to secure the best price early on.

I don’t know what board basis to book. Can I eat out locally, should I consider All Inclusive?
