Customer Hotel Reviews

Graham McCormick says:

We recently returned from a holiday to Dubai and Mauritius and wanted to pass on our comments regarding our fantastic holiday experience.

We were somewhat wary of booking through your company as we had never been with you previously or known anyone who had either, however our slight concerns were soon dissipated as everything from the booking process, through to the arrival back at Heathrow was almost seamless and went without a hitch.

Emirates were a fine carrier to fly with and all flights were on time and well equipped very modern planes with very professional crews.

The airport transfers went very smoothly and the cars used for this purpose were of a very good standard.

The hotels in both resorts were the crowning glory and although somewhat different in style, they were both superb in their own way.

The staff, service and quality of food at the Residence in Mauritius was first class and the hotel could not do enough for you.

The experience at the Royal Mirage Palace in Dubai was stunning, with everything of the very highest standard and fine detail, one of the finest hotels we have stayed at anywhere in the world.

We will definitely stay at this hotel again, as again the service, quality and variety of food and quality of the bedrooms was exceptional.

I do hope that we can holiday with your company again and look forward to researching our next break.

How To Book

How do I talk to a specialist in Dubai holidays?

We are happy to give you a call back to discuss your holiday at a convenient time for you or we welcome you to come to our office in central London to discuss your holiday in detail.

Why use our specialist service?

Our destination experts provide a personalised service to tailormake your dream holiday. Within our experienced team we have visited most of the properties we feature and will be able to give you expertise and specialist knowledge from our first hand experience. You will be offered a direct telephone number, so you are able to speak to the same specialist from the time you pick up the phone until your documents are sent out.

Do I have to travel on certain dates and only do the itineraries suggested?

No, we tailormake all our holidays and subject to availability you will be able to travel on any date. The itineraries and holidays on our website are for inspiration and are suggestions only, you can change any aspect according to your personal requirements and available spend.

How far in advance should I book my holiday?

Many customers are under the illusion that booking late secures the best prices. This is often not the case and it is advisable to book early especially if travelling in peak seasons such as Christmas, Easter or school holidays. Many hotels and airlines actually offer special “Early Booking Offers” so you are able to secure the best price early on.

I don’t know what board basis to book. Can I eat out locally, should I consider All Inclusive?

It's always a difficult decision to make before you travel. Call one of our destination experts, who will be happy to advise you on local restaurants and prices you can expect to pay in resort.

What can I do when I get there?

There are many excursions, activities and highlights that are not to be missed out on, whilst in the country. Please contact our experts for advise on whether to prebook these before travel.

What financial protection do you offer?

When booking through Western and Oriental, if your flight is delayed or cancelled due to bad weather or you have a problem in resort it is our responsibility you are taken care of. We offer a 24 hour emergency number to assist with any issues you may have in resort and all of our flight inclusive holidays are financially protected through ATOL bonding for your protection.

Restaurants / Bars

A wide array of tempthing cuisines is on offer between the three hotels.

The Palace

Tagine - is set in the Arabic style courtyard area with rich ochre coloured walls to complement the Moroccan traditional decor and creating a warm cosy ambience. Open for a la carte dinners six days weekly.

Celebrities - is a stunning speciality fine dining restaurant in the heart of The Palace, reached by a grand staircase and with full picture windows looking out over the landscaped gardens towards the sea.  During the day sumptuous buffet breakfasts are served,  and in the evenings the elegant decor, enhanced by a wall fountain and subtle llighting sets the mood for romantic a la carte dining with light classical music background.  Children over 8 years welcome for dinner.

Beach Bar & Grill - is a delightfully informal restaurant on the beach at The Palace, facing Palm Island, whree freshly grilled seafood and colourful salads are served to guests on the shady deck or indoors in a contemporary but warm setting.  Open for lunch and dinner daily, it is an ideal spot to enjoy lobster or prime steaks whilst enjoying the view.

.Arabian Court

The Rotisserie - Arabian Court's main dining room is richly furnished with high vaulted ceilings, copper chimneys and large wooden tables and a show kitchen where guests can have traditional European dishes prepared before them for lunch or dinner.  Table spill out onto the terrace in the gardens by the pool for those who prefer to dine al fresco. Each day  impressive buffet breakfast, lunch and  themed dinner buffets are offered with live musical accompaniment from a duo, plus Friday Family Lunch with Arabic music.
