Hotel Overview

Opened in 1994 the Melia Cohiba is a comfortable 462 room property, situated in the centre of Havana in the lively Vedado district close to the Malecón, Havana’s famous waterfront promenade. Several room and suites types are on offer and a special Royal Service can be chosen which offers a butler service, VIP room with a mini buffet at meal times and many more amenities and services.

After a day visiting the highlights of Havana along with the centre of Old Havana, a short drive away, relax in the outdoor pool, whirlpool and deck area. You could even play some squash, go to the gym or relax in the sauna. The hotel is equipped with a business centre, Wi-Fi connection, several shops, a beauty parlour, hairdresser and a car park. A complimentary shuttle service operates from the Melia Cohiba to Old Havana several times a day.

There are plenty of options when dining at Melia Cohiba: the Plaza Habana offers a buffet three times a day as well as themed nights, live music and a show in the evenings. Breakfast in particular at the hotel is very varied. El Abanico features Mediterranean and Asian fusion cuisine, La Piazza serves Italian food and La Braza is a lovely grill restaurant. Whilst relaxing by the pool sip drinks at El Cotilo and after dinner in the evening enjoy Cuban coffee and cigars at Bar El Relicario.

How far in advance should I book my holiday?

Many customers are under the illusion that booking late secures the best prices.
