Dining can be anything from a casual affair at the Pool Grille and Bar, set by the infinity edge swimming pool, to fine Continental cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and steaks at the Verandah Restaurant and Bar. For grab-and-go lunches, the Beach Shack will offer continental breakfast and a smoothie bar as well as delicious local street food such as lobster or chicken rotis, ceviche, while in-room dining during the day is also available (at a small charge).
The island has two excellent sunbathing beaches plus Pasture Beach which is a protected nesting site of the endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle. Other activities on the island include walking or cycling along the winding paths lined with lofty palms, there are two resort swimming pools, a croquet lawn and a putting green. Rose Buds is a programme designed for the youngest guests of Jumby Bay, from kids' menus to special events and fun activities including Little Chefs, Wildlife and Ocean Adventures, Discover Science, Pirates of the Caribbean and much more. The Hawksbill Turtle Programme is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, especially for kids, on island who can sign up for "turtle watch" from June through November to play an active role in the research, the longest running scientific study of its kind.
