Hotel Overview

Set amongst thirty acres of beaches, caves, lagoons, woods and gardens stands the peaceful and well-known GoldenEye Hotel & Resort. Once the home of the famous author, Ian Fleming, who wrote 13 James Bond novels in this property in Jamaica, GoldenEye is a great choice for couples and families looking to relax and take in the beauty of Oracabassa.

One of the highlights of GoldenEye is the Fleming Villa consisting of cottages, a Pool House and Sweet Spot as well as its own beaches, pool, gardens and staff. Perfect for a group gathering, the villa sleeps ten people and Fleming once lived here whilst writing the novels that were to become some of the most famous films. One and Two Bedroom Cottages as well as Lagoon Suites are also spread throughout GoldenEye,  located on the beachfront or lagoon.

Do as little or as much as you want at GoldenEye - kayak, lagoon-raft and paddleboard in the four acre lagoon or lie on over 500 feet of sand at Low Cay Beach. The resort has a floodlit tennis court and fresh water pool and excursions offered include; mountain biking to the impressive house, Firefly, going on a morning fishing trip or exploring the sea life in a glass bottom boat. Children can go snorkelling and kayaking with instructors, take an art class or jewellery and doll making class and also learn to coconut carve. In the evenings, choose a DVD from the selection (including many a James Bond film!) for the family to enjoy.

Be sure to visit the FieldSpa, accessed by kayak or by swimming, where there are open-air treatment rooms and some delightful treatments to enjoy.

The Bizot Bar, located by the beach and pool is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast and lunch overlooking Low Cay Beach whilst The Gazebo, an open-air tree-house style lounge and restaurant, serves international cuisine. Couples may wish to enjoy in-room and private dining experiences too.
