Customer Hotel Reviews

Isha Metha says:

the hotel in Havana was good. Great location and history, not to mention the views from the terrace. The Varadero hotel was great in that it was quiet, both hotel and nearest beach. It did feel like we paid for what we got and much more! The only drawback was that choice of food was a bit limited as I am a vegetarian. I didn't expect to be catered for, however it was difficult making myself understood in case there was something they could do. Cocktails were great, though! Our Cuba direct reps had met with us and were lovely, I think there may have been a confusion about pick-up to airport when returning. We were told to expect a coach at 5.15pm, however a taxi came for us at 4.15pm. We weren't too concerned, better early than late! He dropped us off at the airport, after an hours wait whilst we wondered why our flight hadn't even started to check-in, we found out we were in the wrong terminal! We didn't even know until then there was another terminal! I know these things happen, but it would be good to pass this onto the Cuba direct people to make sure everyone is clear about these things!PS. big thank you to Melissa Brooks, the agent who booked everything for us. She was patient and understanding through weeks of emailing!

How far in advance should I book my holiday?

Many customers are under the illusion that booking late secures the best prices. This is often not the case and it is advisable to book early especially if travelling in peak seasons such as Christmas, Easter or school holidays. Many hotels and airlines actually offer special “Early Booking Offers” so you are able to secure the best price early on.

I don’t know what board basis to book. Can I eat out locally, should I consider All Inclusive?

It's always a difficult decision to make before you travel. Call one of our destination experts, who will be happy to advise you on local restaurants and prices you can expect to pay in resort.

What can I do when I get there?

There are many excursions, activities and highlights that are not to be missed out on, whilst in the country. Please contact our experts for advise on whether to prebook these before travel.
