Located in the vast Liwa Desert, two hours drive from Abu Dhabi city, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara combines mystic charm and glorious Arabic decor to provide a luxury oasis for a fascinating stay. Built in the style of a fortified village, nestling in the golden dunes, this desert resort provides five star facilities and a range of activities to keep guests of all ages occupied for a short break, or even a longer stay as an alternative to a beach holiday, or as an add-on to complement one.
The rugged scenery of the Empty Quarter surround the resort and provide opportunities for many activities, including camel rides, mountain bike tours and guided desert treks. Within the resort itself there are tennis courts and a fitness centre for the active; a swimming pool and Anantara Spa if you wish to relax and a childrens club for younger guests.
The rooms are elegantly designed featuring earthy hues combined with lush Middle East fabrics and all have a balcony or terrace from which you can enjoy those awe-inspiring desert views. The Anantara Suites offer more space than the rooms. There are also a selection of One, Two and Three Bedroom Villas that boast their own private pool.

Located on the ground floor, the Deluxe rooms have king or twin beds and terrace with garden access, facing the desert. All have sumptuous Arabic decor, combining traditional with modern features, a circular bathtub, rain shower and luxurious comforts including media/DVD player, nespresso machine and complimentary wi-fi.
Deluxe Balcony Room
Of a similar size and with the features of Deluxe (Garden) rooms, the Deluxe Balcony rooms are located on the upper floor of the resort, all facing the desert, with a balcony and seating area.
Deluxe Terrace Room
These rooms have the feeling of a suite, boasting an expansive terrace large enough for private dining and with two daybeds to lounge in the sun or shade, with views of the desert valley. Deluxe Terrace rooms are located on the corners of the building.
One-bedroom Desert Suite
Suites are ideal for families and are able to interconnect with a Deluxe twin-bedded room to create a two-bedroom suite. Each Suite has a separate living room, kitchenette and a patio with dining table, chairs and sun loungers with all the facilities of Deluxe accommodation in the master bedroom.
Villas are ideal for those seeking space and luxury as each has a private pool and deck with loungers, separate living room and kitchenette, master bedroom with luxury bathroom and enjoy butler service.
