Firmly established as one of the top resorts in the region, Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa is located on a secluded bay, 45 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes to Muscat Town. It is actually three hotels under one resort umbrella, each of which has its own style and personality.
Al Husn is the most luxurious and opulent of the three hotels, with 179 rooms and suites. Arabic in style and theme with butler service, for adults and children over 12 years old only (until December 2012). it is set on a headland cliff overlooking the rest of the resort. Al Husn boasts a separate infinity swimming pool and an exclusive private 100m beach with beach bar, for use by Al Husn guests only. Guests at Al Husn also benefit from various complimentary extras including mini-bar (soft drinks and beer), laundry, high tea and pre dinner drinks and canapés.
In addition to the dining and leisure facilities at Al Husn, many of which are limited to exclusive use, all the Barr Al Jissah Resort's other amenities are available to all hotel guests. There's a superb selection of restaurants, with a good choice of cuisine, location and price. Other main facilities include CHI, the Spa and an attractive long beachfront where a selection of watersports can be arranged.

The Al Husn Pool and Beach is available for guests 16 years and above only, chiildren under 16 yrs are invited to use the pools and beach of the Al Waha and Al Bandar. Children under 12 years are invited to dine at the restaurants of Al Bandar and Al Waha only, although guest of all ages can enjoy breakfast at Sultanah Restaurant at Al Husn.

Shahrazad, the only authentic Moroccan restaurant in Muscat, which serves traditional Moroccan cuisine in a contemporary and refined setting.
Whilst at the beach, enjoy Bait Al Bahr, the ideal place for traditional Omani seafood against the backdrop of a magnificent sunset.
