Holidays in Grenada
It seems you can’t mention Grenada without talking about spice. But the ‘Isle of Spice’ has much more than great nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa. The Grand Etang National Park has an exhilarating hiking tour with a chance to see monkeys and armadillos among waterfalls and rainforests. As a Caribbean island, of course Grenada’s beaches are like snapshots of heaven. Our favourite is Grand Anse, but Pingouin Beach comes a close second with great snorkelling for those itching to explore the depths. If you can drag yourself away from the beach, you’re sure to find spice, but you’ll also find chocolate. Visit Belmont Estate, a 300-year-old plantation, for a chance to experience cocoa production and even sample the raw product.
