Yala National Park Holidays

Holidays in Yala National Park

Yala National Park, the most visited national park in the country, boasts one of the highest density of leopards in the world. Its' variety of eco-systems - rocky scrubland, grassy plains, forest and wetlands - attract a diverse range of animals including herds of elephants, endangered wild water buffaloes, Sri Lankan sloth bear and an array of reptiles and birdlife. Between October and May most of the animals can be found close to the water; leopards are best spotted at dawn and dusk.

Accommodation is just on the border of the national park and guests can also visit nearby Udawalawe for a different safari experience.
