Where to go on holiday in December

December marks celebration, with Christmas and New Year both promising days away from your desk and plenty of feasting, why not go the extra mile and get festive in the sunshine. America, and New York in particular, is a delightful Christmas location, with the windows of fifth avenue lit up and the giant Christmas tree and ice rink at the Rockafella centre not quite reaching the dizzying heights of the Empire State Building, it's impossible to not get into the festive spirit here! If you're set on a sunny Christmas then you may be the perfect partner for the Caribbean, where the summer season has begun and long, warm days and majestic evening sunsets can be enjoyed just steps from your room. Asia is also a contender with the vine-clad temples of Cambodia and the ancient monuments, the streets are alive with culture and buzz while the beaches invite the perfect restbite. Bali too, has its own share of warm seas and delicious cuisine to get you through to the New Year in a flurry of colour, culture and comfort. Make sure you call one of our specialists for tips and advice on where to go on holiday in December.

USA Holidays

New York in December is a truly magical affair, from the larger than life Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Centre surrounded by its very own iconic ice rink, to the spectacular window displays on Fifth Avenue and the carol singing. A joyful spirit is mandatory here during the festive season, although it would be hard not to be as you pick up a famous New York bagel after picking up some presents, or strolling through Central Park with a mulled wine. Indulge your inner child on the giant keyboard at FAO Schwartz or at Macy’s extravagant Santaland, or meander down to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx to see one of New Yorks best known Christmas attractions, the Holiday Train Show. Aside from all this extra festive goodness, all the usual attractions are still open for business, minus the huge crowds that flock in the summer. All the excitement, less of the fuss on a December holiday in New York.
